The start of the 2021/2022 Center for the Arts season has already been such a gift welcoming back听audiences听to in-person performances in the Concert Hall. Now that the holidays are around the corner, the Center听is听thrilled to continue the gift of the arts听with more听joyful and festive performances for the entire family.听
On November 27 at 8 p.m., the Center welcomes the return of internationally-acclaimed musical quintet Canadian Brass in , a cheery kick-off to the holiday season. Renowned for joyous performances and their iconic white running shoes, this quintet will warm your heart with sparkling brass standards and toe-tapping holiday favorites.听鈥淎fter four decades, it鈥檚 great to see Canadian Brass鈥攑ractically an institution at this point鈥攕till sounding fresh, still attracting young virtuosos and, above all, still having fun with the music鈥 (NPR Tiny Desk Concert).听
Next, Lightwire Theater presents two听thrilling, Family Series performances of 听on November 28 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Gather the whole family for this imaginative story cleverly told with cutting edge electroluminescent puppetry in the dark, featuring听live dancers, and a lively mix of classical, jazz, and pop music.听Featured on NBC鈥檚 America鈥檚 Got Talent, Lightwire Theater leaves viewers in awe and wonder with breathtaking live productions company Rolling Stone calls 鈥渁bsolutely incredible.鈥澨The following weekend, the Center is thrilled to welcome the debut of NEA Jazz Master and GRAMMY award-winner听Dianne Reeves for her concert 听on听December 2. The holidays at the Center would not be complete without听the cherished annual performance of by the American Festival Pops Orchestra, under the baton of maestro Anthony Maiello.
