Sinoxolo “Susan” Favor was doing public health work in her native South Africa long before she enrolled in the College of Public Health at George Mason �鶹����. Now Favor is graduating from this spring with a BS in community health from the first college of public health in Virginia.

Inspired by her parents who immigrated from Mexico in search of a better life for their children, Ashley Alvarado-Lopez is following the path her older sister by graduating in winter 2023 with two degrees from Mason.

Nearly 100 student representatives and 20 advisors from 13 Fairfax County public high schools gathered on Mason’s Fairfax Campus in June for a day of workshops and team-building activities to support the peer-led student ambassadors program.

After witnessing a violent revolution in Cairo, Nardine Mosaad is now earning a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree at the same time at the Schar School. What’s she studying? Government, of course.
