George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú offers students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to get outside and form connections with others in the Mason community through the </span></span><a href="https://recreation.gmu.edu/outdooradventures"><span><span>Outdoor Adventures</span></span></a><span><span> program, part of Mason Recreation.</span></span></span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span><span>Options include day and overnight trips, workshops, and gear rentals. A recent 20-mile gravel bike ride in September took a group of outdoor adventurers along the C&O Canal from Great Falls, Maryland, to the National Mall in Washington, D.C. They wrapped up their expedition with a visit to the George Mason Memorial on the National Mall.</span></span></span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span><span>Trip registration included bike rental, transportation, and support from trip leaders during the ride. </span></span><a href="https://recreation.gmu.edu/outdooradventures/adventures"><span><span>Other trip options</span></span></a><span><span> this fall include hiking, backpacking, and rock climbing in locations within a couple hours of the Fairfax Campus.
