Each year, the George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú Alumni Association’s annual Celebration of Distinction recognizes outstanding alumni, faculty members, and students.

Mason's Alumni Association has established the Amy Takayama-Perez Memorial Student Book Award to honor Mason alumna and former colleague Amy Takayama-Perez, BA Sociology ’96, MEd ’02.

Mason Alumni Association’s annual Celebration of Distinction recognizes outstanding alumni, faculty members, and students. This year’s celebration was held October 20 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.

Alaina Ruffin will not be the first, second, or third, but fourth person in her family to graduate from George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú. Her mother and two older cousins graduated from Mason in 2000, 2001, and 2013 respectively.

Hannah Adamson knew after an 8th-grade trip to Washington, D.C., that the capital region was the place for her. She is graduating this May with a bachelor of arts in conflict analysis and resolution.

For more than 30 years, the George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú Alumni Association has honored outstanding alumni, faculty members, and students at their annual Celebration of Distinction. The 2022 awardees include a diverse group of Patriots who exemplify service to others.
