Over the past year, George Mason professor Moinul Hossain contributed to a research initiative aimed at ensuring the safety and integrity of 5G networks used by the United States military. 

Mason researcher Vijay Shah has joined a $2 million project to develop a system to secure 5G Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) architecture, a collaboration between Mason and Virginia Tech, Penn State Â鶹¹ú²ú, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Assistant Professor Vijay Shah from the Department of Cyber Security Engineering at George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú's College of Engineering and Computing, teamed up with colleagues in Arlington, Virginia, to build drones that monitor and improve the safety of firefighters in action.
