On June 10, 2024, more than 110 golfers came together at Westfields Golf Club to support first-generation students through George Mason �鶹����’s Diversity Scholarship Golf Classic.

A weeklong residential program to bring undergraduate students together with women leaders in politics and business just concluded. See who they met and what they learned.

President Washington and IFEZA Commissioner Wonsok Yun led the signing ceremony, paving the way for expanded collaboration on industry–academia projects between Mason Korea, located in the Songdo International Business District of IFEZ, and the IFEZA.

These experts explored how George Mason's research is powering key industrial segments, including bioscience, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, power engineering and shipbuilding.

Building on his ongoing commitment to Mason Korea, advisory board member Sam Machour recently announced a new $60,000 pledge for student scholarships. The announcement was made during the Friends of Mason Korea 10th Anniversary Celebration.

George Mason �鶹���� Korea kicked off its 10th anniversary celebrations with a lively reception that brought together Mason Korea students, faculty, and staff, current and past leaders, visitors from George Mason's Fairfax Campus; and members of the Mason Korea advisory board.

George Mason is the home for the new $19.5 million NASA Landolt Space Mission. Led by the College of Science’s Peter Plavchan, with the College of Engineering and Computing, this mission will launch an artificial star in orbit to help scientists calibrate telescopes and measure brightness.

For its commitment to campus sustainability, George Mason �鶹���� has earned a Gold rating in the STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System) Assessment. STARS is a self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance and is offered by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).

What's one thing that all of these George Mason �鶹���� students are wearing when handling salamanders? Well-fitted, sterile, hypoallergenic, slightly moistened gloves. These students participated in the Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation’s two-week course CONS 440/540 Field Skills in Ecology course.

The National Security Institute’s Cyber and Tech Center (CTC) at George Mason’s Antonin Scalia Law School and Howard �鶹���� School of Business (HUSB) have been selected to receive $1 million in support from Google’s Cybersecurity Clinics Fund to establish the NSI CTC – HUSB Cybersecurity Clinic. The funding from Google.org, the company’s philanthropic arm, is part of a $25 million collaboration with the Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics.

The new Activities Community Wellness Building is designed to enhance campus life by providing a gathering place for students to engage with each other and deepen their sense of belonging at the university.

George Mason �鶹����’s Student Health Services (SHS) is one of 462 health care facilities to receive the “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality High Performer” designation from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2024 Healthcare Equality Index.
