Mason’s 17 Rooms-U Initiative brought together Mason faculty, staff and students, along with community members, stakeholders and other external partners, in a virtual format to discuss sustainability goals.

On Saturday, November 20 at 8 p.m., George Mason �鶹����’s Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music is proud to present the Jazz4Justice™ 20th Anniversary Concert, a one-of-a-kind event celebrating Northern Virginia’s love of music while raising funds to support legal services for low-income Northern Virginians and the George Mason �鶹���� Jazz Studies program.

The Enslaved People of George Mason Memorial ecently opened as the centerpiece of the redesigned Wilkins Plaza on the Fairfax Campus, and is the focal point of how the university is addressing its identity as it relates to a complicated Patriot.

Once the results are in, campaign experts will be ready to analyze what went well—and what didn’t—with After Virginia Votes, a post-election discussion, held at George Mason �鶹���� on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m.

George Mason �鶹���� students voted at a higher rate than the national student average in the 2020 elections, and also outperformed the average voting rates of public institutions, according to the National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement.

As the winter season approaches and we look forward to the Thanksgiving holiday break, it is more important than ever to continue the practices that have kept our campus, our communities, and our families healthy and safe.

Holton died Thursday at age 98. In 1972, he signed the legislation separating George Mason from the �鶹���� of Virginia.

Service awards ceremonies will be held Nov. 2-3 in Dewberry Hall, honoring faculty and staff who have been at George Mason five years or more. There are 693 awardees this year, which is an increase of 100 honorees compared with the 2016 ceremony.
