After attending university-wide Mason Chooses Kindness events at George Mason �鶹����, colleagues in the School of Business saw an opportunity to apply the same principles within their unit. This “goodwill team” highlights and encourages acts of kindness and well-being across the school.

Olga O’Brien started her journey at George Mason �鶹���� as an international student from Prague on a volleyball scholarship. As a student, she started working as a part-time volleyball instructor at the Freedom Center in 1999—the year the center first opened. And she has been there ever since.

Robert Matz, dean of Mason Korea, will conclude his term at the end of the Spring 2024 semester and return to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences as a faculty member of the Department of English.

Liza Wilson Durant wears many hats at George Mason �鶹����. Outside her work at Mason, though, Wilson Durant makes a different impact on her community as an emergency medical technician (EMT).

Mason will launch a pilot project this fall to study utilization of space on its campuses.

Chris DiTeresi was named associate vice president for research integrity and assurance at George Mason �鶹����, where he provides leadership and strategic direction for the Office of Research Integrity and Assurance and its six major compliance programs.

Ronda Franklin, administrative specialist in Mason’s Office of Safety, Emergency, and Enterprise Risk Management, is the September Employee of the Month.
