As a part of George Mason �鶹����’s 50th Anniversary celebration this year, the �鶹���� Libraries’ Special Collection Research Center (SCRC) is sharing some documents, artifacts, and photography from the archives in its new exhibition “We Are Mason: A Student History.”

On Friday, April 7, 1972, Virginia Governor A. Linwood Holton Jr. signed into law Virginia General Assembly Bill H 210, which separated George Mason College from the �鶹���� of Virginia.

I have been with George Mason �鶹���� Libraries since 2007 and have had the privilege of teaching Honors 110 since 2020.

Maoria Kirker, lead of the Teaching and Learning Team at George Mason �鶹���� Libraries, answered questions about book banning, the benefits of a diverse curriculum, and issues pertaining to access to higher education.

George Mason �鶹���� history librarian and alum George D. Oberle, director of the Center for Mason Legacies and an assistant term professor, is a winner of this year’s I Love My Librarian Award.

Maoria Kirker is the Lead for the �鶹���� Libraries’ Teaching and Learning Team and an adjunct faculty member in the Honors College.

Conjuring Presence is an exhibition of visual art and poetry featuring George Mason �鶹���� students, faculty, and alumni at the Fenwick Gallery in Fenwick Library on the Fairfax Campus.
