With seven academic programs, seven galleries, six community arts programs, two major venues, and the digital venue Mason Arts Amplified, Mason Arts continues to create a thriving artistic community right here in Northern Virginia.

The Hylton Performing Arts Center opened its doors at George Mason 麻豆国产 in 2010, and Marit Majeske, education coordinator, has been along for the ride ever since. Located on George Mason鈥檚 Science and Technology Campus in Manassas, Virginia, the Hylton Center is managed by the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

The Philadelphia Dance Company, better known as PHILADANCO!, is widely recognized for its artistic integrity, superbly trained dancers, and electrifying performances. On March 15, PHILADANCO! will perform a dynamic program at the Hylton Performing Arts Center and, as a Hylton Center Artist-in-Residence, members of the company and artistic staff will also work with the community through classes, workshops, and discussions surrounding their performance.

Audiences at the Hylton Center will soon see a unique name adorning the halls of the Education and Rehearsal Wing. An anonymous donor has recently included the Hylton Center in their estate plans, and as such, the Hylton Center has recognized their outstanding generosity by naming the first of two classrooms in the Education and Rehearsal Hall the 鈥淜oko H. Beetle Classroom.鈥
