Mason history and art history doctoral student Timmia King is eager to explore new topics and gain insight into different people and their lives. Honoring Native American Heritage Month with the Native American and Indigenous Alliance

In addition to being named to Oprah Magazine’s list of Native American Authors to Read Right Now, Mason alum Kelli Jo Ford’s debut novel, “Crooked Hallelujah,” was recently named one of the best books of 2020 by Publishers Weekly and is on the longlist for the 2021 Carnegie Medal for Fiction, among other accolades.

On Oct. 26, ArtsFairfax honored the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at George Mason �鶹���� with its Education Award for providing exceptional arts education and opportunities to the community.

Distinguished �鶹���� Professor Faye Taxman and PhD Criminology student C.J. Appleton are being honored by the American Society for Criminologists at its annual meeting for their work contributing to justice and the treatment or prevention of criminal behavior.
