For Sophia Nguyen and Celine Apenteng, George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú’s new student body president and vice president, respectively, accountability to their fellow students is paramount.

Incoming Â鶹¹ú²ú Scholar Dayana Cespedes-Mendoza has been familiar with Mason for more than five years through her participation in Mason’s Early Identification Program (EIP) for first-generation college-bound students, which she joined as an eighth grader.

Honors College alumni, Abigail Hawkins, has been selected for the prestigious Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals program. Hawkins, who graduated from Mason in May 2022, majored in global affairs with concentrations in human security and Middle East and North Africa Studies, and a minor in Arabic.  

Through the Global Engagement Scholar Program, undergraduate students in George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú School of Business have an opportunity they shouldn’t pass up to examine their own biases, cultural values, and learn how to contribute to a dynamic and global workforce.

Juan Escalera is a senior Marketing and economics major and began his time in the Honors College in the EIP.
