George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú will graduate its largest class in history this week, and perhaps its most traveled as well—the nearly 11,000 honorees hail from 111 countries, 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and military installations.

In addition to hosting Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin as the featured speaker at Spring Commencement ceremony on May 18, George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú features speakers at its individual school and college degree celebrations.

George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú is seeing a steady increase in research awards, fall enrollment numbers and in its number of graduates, based on reports to the Board of Visitors at their May 4 meeting.

George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú’s Antonin Scalia Law School is the No. 2 law school in the commonwealth in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. The school also ranks No. 2 among all law schools in the Washington, D.C., area.

Mason’s Scholarship Breakfast, held in Mason’s Center for the Arts lobby, brought together donors and scholarship recipients this spring.

In addition to honoring Carlos Castro and the Jacquemin Family Foundation, the 13th Anniversary Gala raised more than $200,000, which will support performances and programs at the Hylton Center

The largest school naming gift in the university’s history, part of a $1B fundraising effort, will support Mason’s growing entrepreneurship and innovation programs.

George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú has 10 graduate programs in the top 30 among public institutions, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report, reflecting the university’s reputation for innovation and ability to make significant impacts on the national stage.

Mason is recommending a $300 tuition increase for the 2023-24 academic year, but the in-state undergraduate tuition increase will be eliminated pending Virginia General Assembly approval of the university’s broader funding requests in the pending state budget.

On Wednesday, April 12, Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger visited George Mason Â鶹¹ú²ú’s Potomac Science Center in Woodbridge, which is now part of the congresswoman’s district.
