In fact, the university鈥檚 interdisciplinary approach and cutting-edge research as part of its strategic direction, has turned Mason鈥檚 campuses into a Living Lab.

    In 2019, the World Wildlife Fund and Knorr identified 50 foods, known as Future 50 Foods, that have a lower environmental impact, as well as being nutritious. In the 2022-23 school year, Mason Dining turned existing salad bars at Southside and Ike鈥檚 dining halls into Future 50 Food Stations. Students were able to build their own dishes, or select a featured dish created by the chefs using the Future 50 Foods.

    Micah Hodges works as a success coach in 麻豆国产 Life at George Mason 麻豆国产. In this role, Hodges works one-on-one with students to help them discover what success looks like to them. Outside of work, Hodges helps sustain and develop something else: our local environment and community spaces. As a volunteer with NOVA and District Cleanups, Hodges works alongside cadres of volunteers who remove trash from public spaces.
